Diary of a Container House Project in Lagos, NIGERIA

This container house project is a 2-storey building comprising a 4 bedroom duplex with all rooms en-suite. A kitchen, living space and a terrace. It was executed in 2017, with an effective work period was 3 months. The land was quite swampy to start with, and according to the client iy took over 210 trips of filling sand to get to the stage displayed in the images below. The initial project was meant to be made of concrete with a foundation budget of 18million. Our client later decided to go along with building the house entirely from shipping containers.

CRG Architects unveils concept for shipping container skyscrapers

CRG Architects has unveiled a proposal to replace slum housing with a pair of skyscrapers comprising stacks of brightly coloured shipping containers.
